Default Seagull comparison and vocal

Today I recorded these 2 audio clips on my iPhone. It's the intro, first verse, and chorus of Please Come to Boston by Dave Loggins. I used my recently acquired Seagull guitars. The first is an S6 model with PB light strings (whatever they come with new). The second clip is the Coastline Folk model with Gibson Masterworks 80/20 lights.

Both guitars have layered cherry back & sides and a cedar top. I tried to keep my dynamics about the same for each. I prefer the Folk with my voice. The guitar seems to leave some space in the mix for the vocals and I also like the quick note decay and minimal harmonics.

BTW, I am a new singer so don't slaughter me too much, but any helpful hints are welcome. And please forgive the few flubbed notes

First off, you can totally sing, I really liked the vocals.

Nice guitar arrangement, too.

Both guitars sound good, but like you I prefer the folk in this setting. The other one sounds like it would make a nice strummer.

Great job

Sorry, I was unable to listen for some reason as it reports a problem playing the audio (just thought you should know)

reeve21 - thanks for the kind words

Wrighty - not sure how to help, and this is the only way I know to add audio (I don't have a Soundcloud account)

Nice work, EMTSTEVE. I prefer the sound of the folk model. Seems richer and fuller somehow. Keep sharing with us.
