That's up to Theo. Although, I think he'll share with us.

JPerry: Thanks for that information! I never really paid attention to finishes other than "glossy" or "matte."

Songwriter: Yeah, I liked the idea of having a solid walnut rosette versus having the shiny stuff. I guess I've never been a fan of the shiny stuff.

Hey Don, I guess I wasn't suppose to post those pics. Sorry about that. I guess I should have asked before putting them up.

Joe: I think that there is a certain requirement for those who get custom order guitars who are also members of this forum:

1. Build Threads
2. Final Photos
3. Initial Review
4. Sound Clips

I could probably take that in a whole new tangent, but it's been a long day at work... long week actually.

No sweat Theo. It's good to see that even fine instruments go through a rough stage at some point along the way. Next step for your guitar is final sanding. Then off to the spray booth.

Yes I am. Not even the first strum... the first pluck.

This Guitar looks beautiful and I am sure that you will love it. Having just received my Nightingale in November, I know how excited you must be. This is a fun and thrilling journey and it appears that their are some great luthiers to help us have such a great experience when it comes to a custom build.

Enjoy and happy holidays.

Arnie

Wow Theo and Don, what a great looking guitar you have coming along there. Can't wait to see it under finish.

Thanks everyone! It has been a great process and to see how it looks compared to how it started is a really special experience. I just love seeing the details!

I can't wait to deliver this one to Theo. I find myself staring at it often and, of course, tapping the top to hear its sweet voice.

Beautiful guitar, guys! I'm falling more and more in love with walnut with each one that I see. I love that peghead inlay as well. Great job

I have to say that walnut is kind of a leap of faith for me. I have only played a few (a Goodall and a Larrivee). Don assured me that it was the right combination after hearing what I wanted out of the guitar and listening to some recordings I made.

It's a work of art! God knew what He was doing when He made that walnut tree. I am blessed because Don knew what to do with it.
