What's really crazy is the price of those old Telecasters and Stratocasters from the '50s and early '60s. They are literally just two cheap boards screwed together in about the crudest way possible, and now they go for $20,000 and up.

Well, when I think about what my father’s salary was in 1964 and what my take home pay is, that’s pretty eye opening too! My dad saved up for cars, golf clubs and fishing gear and I save up for guitars and music gear.
He left all that atom stuff for my mom to take care of. :-) Best, Jayne
