Emerald Fan Frets?
Tried searching old threads and found a few people discussing them. Wondering who out there might have took a dip in the Fan Fret Pool and what they now think.
I'm thinking about one as I tune one of my X20's down to D with Mediums on it. I think it might be bigger or bolder on the low strings with the extra scale length. Any thoughts might be helpful as to whether there really is something to it or more of a novelty? Also does anyone know what the up-charge is for a fan fret on an Emerald? Thanks as always!

My fanfret experience is with an Avian (wood) and the Emerald X20 7. I use lights tuned down to CFCfac, the #6 C on regular guitars ride the edge of clarity/tubbiness by the 12th fret. The extra string length of a fanfret's bass string seemed a promising way to ensure clarity on the #6. I haven't noticed a difference.
