I had the Blackbird Lucky 13 on one of Macnichol's road trips. Took it to Joshua Tree on a camping trip. It was hot and dusty, very cold at night, and played well in both conditions. Being parlor sized, the guitar fit in the car well (we have LOTS of camping gear) - all in all a great camping guitar. There were lots of things I liked about it, but it really struck me as a great guitar to take camping, which I hadn't planned on doing when I signed up for the road trip.

So, to answer the OP, yes.

Jammin' on Santa Rosa Sound with my CA Vintage Performer...

Disclaimer: we weren't actually jamming, just taking photos to put on flyers. The dock is in my buddy's back yard. Never have any fears taking my CF guitars anywhere, though.

Ted - Big Bear Lake looks so rustic (and I enjoy the wilderness). I image it's a wonderful place for a Rainsong.

I just plunked down and bought an Emerald X5-os to be my camping and kayak touring guitar. It's small and lightweight and should be durable and fairly impervious. Now I'll have to see how I like it when it arrives.

Nice! Now you have an extra emergency paddle.
