Seems like I've seen videos from Dave's shop but I can't say with certainty? Never been there so I can't say?

I just called Dave on the phone. He was tuning a guitar at
the time ... he is on-line only, no brick and mortar store front... -Mike |

Back to Larrivees and Eastmans
I currently own one of each; a Larrivee L-03W(walnut-with an exceptionally silked sitka top), and an Eastman AC320 (sitka/mahogany dreadnought).
Neither is leaving my stable. Both companies are putting some really fine all-solid guitars in the hands of those with modest wallets. The Larrivee was settled upon after going thru six/seven(?) different models and woods. It has that (known) Larrivee sound--even emphasis from bass to treble, some might call it a modern sound, vs. vintage--and as mentioned above, has quality woods impressive for their "base" series (spectacular walnut grain, & maple binding and end block). Sometimes it's in DADGAD, right now it's in Standard tuning; can do it all. The Eastman is the dreadnought sound I was looking for, AND has a 1 3/4" nut. The bass rumbles really nicely, and the mids and trebles follow suit with a deep piano timbre. This dreadnought comforted me that I couldn't afford that '46 D-18 I had played at Elderly Instruments ! No, of course not as "chocolaty chewy" as the D-18, but it'll hang with the best of the rest! And only about 2% of the price bought used!!
