Default Bourgeois DB Signature Dread--Brazilian/Adirondack

Superb DB Signature Dread with gorgeous straight-grained Brazilian and Adirondack. Hide glue construction. Excellent condition. Built 2011. #5650

Price: $6425 plus shipping.

Great, full-bodied tone with amazing clarity and balance. This wood combo is classic for a reason. Sparkling trebles; solid, woody mids; and strong, clear bass without the slightest muddiness. In my experience, only Brazilian--in the right builder's hands--can deliver this kind of tone.

Images and spec sheet can be viewed below. I took indoor and outdoor pics to try to capture the nice wood colors.

https://reverb.com/item/33850993-bou...k-2011-natural

Neck angle is perfect, and all braces, binding and bridge are in excellent condition. The only issues I can find are a couple of very small dings on the neck (which I tried to photograph) and a couple of small dings
on the back. Slight bit of pick wear on the pickguard.

A former owner replaced the listed FWI pins with hand-carved ebony ones. And the pictured gold Waverly tuners apparently replaced the original snakewood button ones. Comes in clean, four-latch, tweed case. All four latches work just as they should.

Just a wonderful, classic dread from one of our most accomplished builders.

Smile This was mine...

This beauty was mine briefly. I received it in a trade knowing it would need to be sold.

I was NOT prepared to like it as MUCH as I did! I took it to my friend and Tech Pat Quinn (Taylor Senior Repair Tech) for a complete inspection and he confirmed it needed NOTHING! Pat is a FINE flatpicker and he really gave it a serious workout, and commented on the beauty, Tone, and boss woods!

If you are a blazing flatpicker, or want to be... buy this now and thank me later!
Hope this helps

Stay vigilant and stay healthy!!!

Thanks, Brencat. It is truly sublime Brazilian in terms of grain pattern and color. And, of course, tone!

Wow - that's a beauty! Two Bourgeois Signature Brazilian guitars at the same time for sale on this forum. Man, someone could have quite a pair with a Slope D and a Traditional D from the master Dana! Good Luck with your sale!

Those guitars push every one of my buttons. If I had 6400 bucks, you'd have 6400 bucks.

That guitar is ridiculous. GLWTS.

Good luck with seller regret. LOL

I noticed Reverb shows it as "no longer available". Is it sold?

It's still available. Since I'm torn about selling it, I took it off of Reverb.

Thanks,
Steve

It's wild how Dana has a stash of braz like this. I've seen it on multiple guitars... super straight with these really thick dark bands. The only stuff that *really* should be a AAAAA grade that we see thrown all too often for stumpwood.

The price of this instrument is just crazy... I wish I were a dread player and currently employed, this would be a no-brainer.
