Default New Guitar! Cordoba C10 C/R

I have been in the market for a new classical guitar for a while. My old Aria (my mother's before me) was literally beginning to fall apart after 40 years. Since my Taylor has been in the shop for weeks it became urgent that I have a guitar to perform in ensemble with.

I'd heard mixed reviews about Cordoba and the C10 but I went into guitar center(yuck) and played a C7 and was quite impressed. It didn't stand up to all of my tests but for 500 dollars it's a hell of a guitar. I was impressed enough that I decided to order the C10 from musicians friend and if it was terrible I could still send it back. Fortunately I love it.

The tone is very rich on the low strings. It's a little bit weak on the top three strings but the tone is very sweet. The sustain is great across the neck and the notes fade away to ringing harmonics. Some people dislike that sound but I've always been a fan. The neck is quite comfortable and plays very easily.

Overall I'm quite satisfied. Some of the notes are a little bit...honky? But I'm hoping time will lessen that a little bit and maybe a new/different set of strings.
It also came with a nice little semi hard semi soft shell backpack case. I'll probably buy a real hard case for it soon though.

Anyway, specs and pictures. I'll also have an audio demo coming up sometime tonight, just need to edit it.

Canadian Cedar top
East Indian Rosewood back and sides
Ebony bridge and fingerboard
EI Rosewood laminate headstock plate
Some sort of mahogany-esque neck.

When I do large pictures they are HUGE but medium seem to be too small. Ah well.

Hey, I have the same guitar bought last May. I like the set up on the guitar. I've found high tension strings particularly in Trebles helps make them stand out more. The sound board is very thin and this guitar benefits from an arm rest. Enjoy your Guitar.

I'll probably try an arm rest. Is it safe to use the higher tension strings on it? I felt that it had a really thin top.

I switched to high tension D'addarios 2 weeks after I got my guitar. So far, no problems. As far as arm rests:

Check out a recording I just did with this guitar. It's higher quality than the other.

I enjoyed your videos. Shows the true beauty and versatility of the nylon string guitar.
