If you want a Stratocaster that is pretty special(only 100 to be produced by the custom shop)this may be your baby!
In conjunction with Lexus, the Fender Custom Shop will be offering this blue beauty to a lucky 100 worldwide.
There is no blue pigment in the chemical sprayed on the body and headstock. It is just the way it reflects light. Well that’s unique and different, I have to say. The fretboard is also blue, but they don’t say what wood? it is, or why it’s blue, but it does have glow in the dark fret markers. Only $6000 and it could be the centerpiece of your collection!

It takes a lot of effort to make a CS Strat look like a Squier.

pretty much 54 specs, nitro, upgraded electronics,vanzandt true vintage pups,6 screw bridge, vintage tuners, 54 shaped neck, ash body,

just a perfect vintage style strat that sings like a choir of angels!

Last time I counted, I found it a 3 piece body. It is joined in a way that works.

Here's one I built with a pair of D'Armond Dynasonic pickups, a boatneck profile 1.75" nut width Warmoth neck with 6100SS fret wire, a Schaller 3D bridge, and a Guitar Fetish body. Clearly I started with a blank Strat pickguard.

Her name is Shelley, by the way.

Here's the one that's left:



It is a 1999 G&L S-500 with a swamp ash body and a light birdseye neck. My bride commissioned this made-to-order guitar for me. It's got Leo's "Dual Fulcrum" tailpiece that wobbles oh-so-smoothly. It is incredibly flexible and regularly finds its way to the studio. Here's a shot from a 2009 session that turned into a "red guitar day":

The obvious answer to my logic was all the faux tortoise shell I used, but it was also pointed out to me that these sorts of builds are commonly referred to as Franken-Strats, ergo Mary Shelley.
