I asked if it would fit in the Musicians Friend gig bag advertised at the bottom of the page.

Hopefully they'll spring to insure it at that cost for shipping, just to be safe.

Relax. That's the MAP price. MSRP is $99,999. You could probably buy it for between $55k to $60k. Make an offer.

The originals are worth $250k to $330k so it's cheap replica.

This is what you buy when you just really don't want to be married anymore. It's an exit guitar.

Default $80,000 Martin

This Martin guitar is simply a luxury item that you can play. If Martin sells all they make then the guitar was priced right or maybe even to cheap.
Luxury items will tend to sell at Market value(what a person is willing to pay fo r something)
Look at Rolex watches. They are selling new for way above their retail list price unless you are one of the lucky few who are able to get one at an AD/Boutique.
So at the end of the day if you are not interested in paying the price for this guitar, then the best thing is just to move on. There is no reason to (as we say in the 808) talk stink about Martin Company or how they price their guitars.
Sometimes you just have to pay to play, as they say in the luxury world.
Having said that I am on the other side of the world from luxury. I can hardly afford to pay attention.

Doesn’t cost anything to talk a little stink about something that is a little bit ridiculous. Very cheap entertainment. Just look at the reviews on the MF website. The sentiment about this guitar is not that isolated.
