When Kevin was little boy he would hang out in the woodshop with me and help me work. He would ask, "Are we making the handles?" So here, many years later, is Kevin, "making the handles" all by himself.

Pretty nice handles, aren't they?

Holey Pizza, Batman! What I am seeing so far is amazing and I’m very much looking forward to what comes next.

Thanks! It’s a real treat for me to go out to my old studio, at the end of the day, and find new surprises among familiar processes.

Beautiful creations to bond over for sure. I can’t wait to see where these go - the contrast between the two just adds to the story here.

Smile Sweet!

Very NICE clean work!!! Interesting to me how many ways to skin the guitar cat...

I LOVE bevels for the comfort provided. I never considered them imparting structural rigidity, but it makes sense.

Whee!

Paul

The first of these wonderful pair of instruments is finished!

The waterfall bubinga shimmers both visually and tonally!

Silky sitka with a gentle quilt is accented by the ergonomic bevels

Emerald ribbons flowing through ruby cascades

So proud of my son's work!

In keeping with this thread's concept that the art of the guitar is firmly and skillfully held in the hands of the young, I present Kevin Dean's masterpiece, beautifully played by Ryan Mole.
