My Hard Tail Slab Strat

I put this together from a bunch of imported parts, and filled in the trem cavity, etc. I used a Schaller tailpiece instead, and it's not bad.

I'm playing it through a 1961 Tremolux head 15" combo amp with some sort of reverb unit if memory serves......

Hi Matt,
It's funny, but the way I got the idea for that arrangement was freaky. I went into a music store that had just gotten the, then new, Yamaha APX-10N. Knowing that nylon can take the tension I tuned up to open E.

The first 'chord' I played was that duad on strings 1 & 2, but with the added open 6th string. As soon as I heard that little chord, I 'heard it', and quickly went to look for the second chord, found it, and put the guitar back up the rack so I could run home and figure out the rest.

The neck pickup is a 'Hofner' that I got from eBay from China, and it's perfect in terms of visual execution. The bridge is a Franken-Tone 'Gretsch' abomination. They work fine, but I have a pair of DeArmond Dynasonics that I'll put in eventually.
