Default D’angelico EX63

I am looking for some opinions on this round hole arch top offering from D’angelico. I saw one of these a few years back, but did not spend any amount of time playing it, so I don’t think my opinion or remembrance of the guitar counts for much, in terms of comparison to current budget offerings in the arch top world. I’m not a jazz guy. More finger picked Americana or basic Western swing.

Looks very attractive.

Aside from that, I can't offer anything of value.

Yeah, not much out there on this model. It does look the part. I suppose if it were something remarkable, there might well be more commentary and review available out there by now.

I have quite a bit of experience with this model and can wholeheartedly say that it plays fantastic. The performance is almost akin to an electric guitar when it comes to string response, while at the same time offering all of that classic full D'Angelico tone. Not to mention how comfortable the neck profile is.

I've only had mine a short while but +1 to everything Nick said.
