Default Fishman mini

Plugged my D28 into a Fishman mini amp. I was impressed. Anyone own or try this amp?

Yep. I celebrated getting my first guitar with a pickup by bringing home a Loudbox Mini. Love it for helping me control string attack and dynamics when I practice. I brought it out for an open mic and it filled the midsize room (maybe 600 sq ft). I heard about it right here and decided on it after reading many favorable comments about it. Enjoy yours!

I have one, I use it for gigs - just use the onboard tone controls don't bother with a DI/eq. Admittedly a very small venue. I've used it for electric jams too, sounds great with my telecaster, although it doesn't compete when things get loud.

Just picked one up for the Piezo in my PRS electric. Absolutely love it!

I also own a Mini. I use it at church and use the XLR out to go to the board and the amp itself as a monitor. I find it's great for that but can get a bit 'woofy' with my Gibson J15 if I don't turn down the mids. My Martins sound great through it with very little EQ needed beyond taking the bass down a touch.

Great amp!

Best,
PJ

As small amps go, this one is at the top of the class.

What pickup are you running in your D-28?

The Loudbox Mini is fantastic! It's great for small gigs or as a monitor for larger gigs. I found that it was tough to use in larger, louder places because it would get buried as a monitor. Anything short of that though, it's pretty great!

Dollar for dollar its perhaps the best gear buy I ever made. It looks a bit beat up by now but works great as a mini PA in the small venues that I play. Line out to a larger sound system when needed. Simple controls for my nitwit tendencies. Cheap enough to replace readily if needed. Hard to go wrong with it.

I'm very impressed with my Loudbox Mini and it will do small gigs very nicely. That being said, I use my Mini in my workshop and cover my gigs with my Loudbox Artist or Performer (or my Bose S1 Pro).

I have two of them, one with battery.
Everybody's telling me how good they sound.
Since I never owned another, I have no way to compare.
For me it's the simplicity that counts, just connect your guitar and mic and you're ready to play.

I own one, and I'm amazed at how well it does in a variety of venues. I'm convinced that its versatility lies in its simplicity.

Similar to Photojeep, I've found that the mids need to be turned down, especially with my 000-15m.
