Austin will be a madhouse. Fortunately San Antonio is closer and very nice. This time don't get a parking ticket!

I am lobbying for this...

Cheers

This event is special. If you didn't make last year, don't miss the chance to attend. It will tickle your eyes and ears along with touching your heart! Give your taste buds a run for their money as well. Congrats Tom and Kathy on putting this together again!

Just a note about flying into San Antonio. Try to avoid rush hour. Traffic was quite slow last year driving north around 6:00 p.m.

This is shaping up to be another spectacular weekend filled with a stellar lineup of luthiers, friends, food, and activities!

Can not wait!

Everybody tends to positive about nearly everything in AGF, which is very pleasant but makes perspective a bit challenging.

Let me be clear: I have attended over 200 high level guitar events in my career, and last year’s B.I.G. stands alone as the best of the best where fun, camaraderie, food, drink, and satisfying entertainment are concerned. Tom and Kathy really are incredible hosts. I never heard any grousing at all whatsoever from anyone, before, during, or since. Highly recommended.

Okay, I would have to agree with that.

It's people like Dennis that make the event special. Well , and Kathy too. It is true, traffic is bad around San Antonio if you hit rush-hour.

Can't wait to see you again Kevin along with your lovely better half. Hopefully that son of yours will see the light and come also.

Wow, I can't thank you enough for that endorsement Bruce. I could advertise all I want and try to make this event as special as it can be, but a comment like that should do more to easing people's minds into whether they want to come than anything I could say or do.

I appreciate you taking the time to write that and hope you continue to get stronger every day.

Tom and Kathy

PS. Kathy is asking me weekly how you're doing. She's looking forward to seeing you again.

Hello again,

Just a quick update, we were informed yesterday that the hotel we reserve rooms at is about 75% full, so if you are coming and you want to stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites again in Bulverde/Spring Branch, it may be best to call and set this up sooner rather than later.

Remember, this is a lake area so there are also a lot of airb&bs around also and Kathy is looking for another hotel alternative just in case.

Just FYI

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting a bunch of new folks!

Tom

Soooo, we already have Will McNicol coming to do workshops, lessons, and headline the Saturday night house concert along with Frog and Toad. If that is not enough, today our own AGFer Dustin Furlow has agreed to come as well. If you have not heard Dustin play (AND sing), just go to our Show and Tell section where he posts about once a week. He is both an exceptional player, but also has a great voice.

We will make sure that Dustin has a spot in the schedule to share his abilities with us first hand at B.I.G. (er) 2020. One example from Dustin: https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=560477

Shoot me a PM if interested. Planning is coming right along and things are coming together very well.

Thanks, Tom

You better keep this going Tom. I will be there one year!!
Unfortunately it won't be in the next two years!!
2020 is the year for the wife to upgrade her Yoga Instructor learning, while 2021 is looking to be my year to go build another guitar.
Maybe 2022 will be the one for us to finally make an international trip that doesn't involve work!!

I'd say to go for it. I plan on making an effort to attend. I have a good career, but I'm a chronic procrastinator. I plan on doing it next year or I'll put it off for 5+ years.....
