Default The Way Home - Stuart Ryan original

I love Stuarts playing across many genres and came across this piece he wrote and for which the tab was readily available.

It's played in CADGAD which is a tuning I had not used before and I really enjoyed it.

I hope you like it and thanks, as always, for listening.

Beautiful, I really enjoyed that.

What was your recording setup for this? It is very well produced.

Thanks Bob, I’m pleased you like the sound.

It was my lazy setup if I am honest - my Zoom H5 using internal mics (because I could not find the energy to plug in my two externals and use the better sounding Audient interface on a Sunday evening..)

It’s uploaded to Auria on my IPad and then just a little bit of high pass eq to clean up some of the room noise, some reverb and a levels adjustment.

Nice job!

You have nerves of steel to be able to do it all in one piece.

With my luck I'd miss one of the ending harmonics and have to do it all over,

Thanks Barry!

I know the piece fairly well, but despite that it took me 5-6 takes to get to this one - and even then I did mess up the easy bit just before the ending anyway as I am sure you heard - but couldn’t face a redo..
