My experience is similar. Even with my T1 mixer, I set the L1C volume
between 11:30 and 12:00. Below 11:00, there isn't much sound.

Regarding the direct connection, next time I use the L1C for a gig, I
will recheck my settings, and see if I get different results from what
I get in my practice room.
