I'm not ready for Christmas yet, though my copies of "Christmas Vacation" stand ever ready. I'm looking forward to watching "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" to get in the Thanksgiving mindset first.

We already had turkey for Thanksgiving this year. Anybody prefer ham?

We prefer both. We recently rescued a turkey named Apollo and will be rescuing a couple of potbelly pigs over the weekend.

I remember watching all the Apollo rocket launches in the 60's and 70's. My brother and I camped out in the backyard looking at a full moon in July of 1969 when Neil Armstrong took his famous first step.

I remember that well. My family watched it all. That first walk was in the middle of the night for us, but a lot of fun.

It was one small step for man, but a giant leap for Rocky Balboa when he k.o.'d Apollo Creed.

Creed. I hated that band.

Planes Trains and Automobiles - touching flick - I still miss John Candy. Time for a Hershey's bar.

Yeah I was thinking of getting my wedding band resized. Anybody else need to lose some weight?

Ham is for Easter unless it's in an omelet or on pizza with pineapple.

Speaking of which, I need to get back to Maui.
