Default Just Arrived: Circa 000 Acoustic Guitar in Master Madagascar Rosewood & AAAA Grade Ge

We are huge fans of Circa Guitars and have been looking forward to the day that we finally represent John Slobod's wonderful work. John is a phenomenal luthier who consistently produces guitars with clean lines and rich, musical voices.

This Circa 000 is our first new guitar from John Slobod, and features John's stunning 12-fret 000 design, built with a AAAA grade German Spruce top and Master Madagascan Rosewood back and sides. The guitar has a Mahogany neck with a bound Ebony fretboard. The slotted headstock features a Madagascan Rosewood veneer and Waverly tuners.

It is an absolute tonal monster giving the player a huge dynamic range. The trebles are gorgeous, clean and crisp, (which you would expect from the set of Madagascar Rosewood such as this) paired up with a AAAA master grade German Spruce for the top gives a beautifully balanced tonal spectrum.

We caught up with John at this year's Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase to talk about this beautiful instrument:

Thanks.

I believe stuart ryan himself owns or owned a circa...

I myself used to own a circa and it was a great guitar.

Circas are amazing guitars. His 000s are incredible. I believe Stuart owns a maple 000-12 if memory serves.
