You two need therapy.

I pray you never seek it out. Your respective plights are most entertaining for this "healthy" eyewitness.

My therapist specifically recommended this guitar. We carefully reviewed all my commissions and tonewood choices and she agreed this was the correct next step.

Rotfl. We have an affliction. But I suppose it is fun to watch from the third person! . There are others over in buy&sell who are in much worse shape than we are!

Having never played Laurent’s guitars (even when I had a chance to in Santa Barbara), I was fortunate to play a couple at Woodstock. I was blown away and highly impressed.

Did you play the OM size A-2 that was at Woodstock?

I too played it. Panama Rosewood I think. It made a lasting impression.

Yes, Laurent makes fantastic instruments.... His Panama RW A-2 was one of my favorite guitars at Woodstock 2018. My Honduran Mahogany/Red Spruce Brondel A-2c makes me smile every time I play it...

I can definitely understand why smiling and that guitar go hand in hand! The whole look is outstanding.

I get the part about the smile when you play it. Every Brondel I've ever tried has been most remarkable.

But when you look at it, don't you get dizzy? That figured mahogany back makes me want to correct my reading glasses or alter my meds!

This was my one regret guitar in the last 20 years. Well, maybe my 2003 SG Historic with Maestro. It’s now on its way back home after a few years. Huzzah!

It's just as I remember it. Very rich guitar with pretty much unlimited headroom. It has the usual mahogany mid hump compared to my rosewood A-2c, but is still very rich. The bass is ample, which is my experience with the A-2 model in general. Somehow, Laurent is able to get a nice deep bass out of that body style, and both guitars work exceptionally well in drop tuning. I use Open C a fair amount, and my two A-2s are probably the best performers in that regard.
