Default Gibson Southern Jumbo 12 Fret Custom Special 2015 Sunburst - Price Reduced

Sold - 2015 Gibson Southern Jumbo 12-Fret Custom Special Sunburst - Sold

This is a wonderful guitar I have owned it for a few years and it is in excellent condition. The only reason I am selling is because I'm not using that much. I picked up a Greven J-35, and I can't keep both. Gibson only made 65 of these.

The guitar is in immaculate condition. It's scary how great this sounds! Includes original hard shell case and certificate of authenticity. Currently set up with Tusq bridge pins, originals included in the case. No trades please.
Net to me: $3,450.00 plus shipping $95.00

Per Gibson: This rare and unique Southern Jumbo is sonically enhanced with a 1930's Wide X top bracing, and 12 fret-to-body construction. It also features a solid Adirondack red spruce top, all hide glue construction, solid mahogany back and sides, mother-of-pearl parallelogram fingerboard inlay, historic "Only a Gibson is Good Enough" headstock banner and tear drop, fire stripe pick guard.

Construction-wise, its dovetail neck-to-body joint is hand-fitted and secured with hide glue to ensure unequaled resonance transfer from the strings to the body. It also has a radius body for increased projection and clarity. The vintage sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer will help the guitar's tone mature with age.

These are outstanding guitars, and certainly some of the best Gibsons I've played. If you want a mellow strummer, I'd look elsewhere, but if you want a monstrous sounding guitar that will fill your entire house with tone...this will do it. Best of luck with the sale.

The nut is indeed 1 3/4 inches. Tony sometimes gets the stats wrong. The top is also, Appalachian Red Spruce. He plays hundreds of guitars...
