Collings AT-16-SOLD-SOLD-SOLD
Guitar is sold. Thanks to Denman and Damon-especially for driving up from Dripping Springs in the rain.
Offers are appreciated. If this is the guitar for you, let me know what you think is fair, rational and reasonable. For your consideration is a near mint (one smudge/blemish-see the pic) Collings AT-16. This particular AT-16 was one of 4 made between November 2005 and February 2006 that didn't get a serial number. The label says 2/2006 and would be either 14,15,16,or 17. I have attached a pic of the COA from Alex Rueb at Collings. Unfortunately the combination of the smaller neck and my farm boy hands are not compatible. It is a truly beautiful instrument visually and sonically-it just needs someone who can make it sing instead of cry... I am asking now $14,500 that still includes 3-day shipping to the lower 48. Sorry, no trades. Last edited by rodcrownover; 05-31-2021 at 12:26 PM. Reason: SOLD |

So many looks...no offers, no comments...one becomes disillusioned. Is it priced too high? It's certainly a beautiful instrument. Sadly Bill won't be making any more. Make me an offer...let's talk.

These are such gorgeous guitars. I'm not saying it's too expensive because you don't see many for sale, but I am curious what you use this guitar for? In other words, what does it excel at musically?

Good question. I have only had it for a few months and thought that I would use for old time acoustic blues type picking. Unfortunately the smaller more delicate neck profile isn’t compatible with my hands and style of picking. I would say that it would excel at jazz and blues like the original 1920s-1940s blues players. Purely my opinion..I have searched around you tube and there are some amazing videos of players really making them shine. I’m sad to see it go. It is one of the most beautiful guitars I have owned.
