Love the music mentioned. She'll be comin' around the mountain when she comes, indeed....

Man this is a looker! And it will no doubt sound even better than it looks.

I had Lawrence Nyberg build an octave mandolin which has similar woods.
The walnut is similar but yours is darker.

very pretty guitar. It really blurs the line between craft and art. in this case there is no line

I have run out of adjectives to describe your work. I think this one has to go down as one of your very best. The color palate is amazing between the top, the arm bevel and the rosette, just amazing. Knowing the meaning of the leaf inlay only makes it that much more special.

I agree with John, that is equally art and craftsmanship.

I think you need to make another just like it say for possibly March 2019?

Umm...incredible. Obviously it’s not really played in yet, but it already sounds like it is. Very rich warm tone. I know it has to compete with a Brazilian Olson, but it’s going to hold its own. And, it looks better than my poor attempt at photography can capture. You’ve done a nice job with the overall design. I think you will be pleased.

Dan, Kevin, John, thanks for all the love. This guitar works conceptually and actually. I’m pleased that stevied decided to go down this woody path with us.

Tom, build another one? Well we did just get in a pile of killer Redwood just today...

Great work, you two! I loved the foliate inlay when you first showed it off--and still do--but what really grabbed my attention this time is the careful blending of the trussrod cover into the headstock overlay. The orientation of the figuring on the bevel and binding with the rosette is also a classy touch. These kinds of details do much to elevate the craftsmanship manifest here.
