Default NGD - Rainsong Parlor P-12 S

Excited! Today is a NGD with my Rainsong Parlor P-12 S. I previously owned a CA Cargo and loved the convenience of a CF guitar. It stayed in my truck and would often make its way to the front cab during the ferry ride each day back and forth to work. I sold it a while back to help fund another guitar purchase and have regretted not having one. Thanks to Ted and Helene at LA Guitar Sales I got a great price and super customer service. Should be here by 3 PM and will be with me as I travel to the Maine coast tomorrow morning. I will post some pictures later tonight or tomorrow.

I love NGD!

stp, you have an impressive stable of quality wood guitars. Like a number of members here, it's great that you recognize the value of CF guitars and their rightful place among the woodies. I have an '08 Cargo and still enjoy it on a daily basis. For me, it was an eye-opener to trying and enjoying other CF guitars. Enjoy your new RS!

What does the "S" stand for? Satin?

If so I'm extra looking forward to the pictures.

S maybe for the smokey model.

this note from Rainsong:
The new Smokey series offers all this in a minimal, blacked-out package that looks cool while being a bit more affordable than their other lines of guitars.

like this one:

and I could be totally wrong................and it may just be satin finish.

interested to find out myself

I just got a P12SA and it is satin, but I have no idea if the S stands for satin or something else.

Thanks for the kind words, SP! And so glad you like the guitar.

As to what the "S" stands for, it stands for satin, which is the same clear flat finish found on the Smokey models. Looks good, feels good, and now it's available on the Parlor, and the Shorty. This satin finish will shaves $200 off the price of the gloss models, but to sweeten the deal even more, Rainsong is offering an extra $100 off the Satin models as an introductory price. We think this new lower price option will be a game changer, as it will put these amazing guitars within the reach of a lot more folks.
