Now THAT is interesting. Did you ever take lessons with him? I've met a few players that have, some well known and others obscure nobodies like me.

Ozzy passed just before Christmas last year but he was 17 years old which was very good for his breed.
17 yrs is a good run for any dog, long live his memory & as a Sabbath fan I like the story behind his name.

Any particular breed? Looks a bit greyhound/whippet-ish.

Whatever he was with that build I bet he had a fair turn of speed whenever he wanted.

Mine is a programming reference. Groovy is a programming language. In coding terms, an Exception is a failure or error. My name relates to both my profession and to my seeming inability to turn the notes I play into music. I fail to find a groove.

Ha ha!! I hope they are. We're giving them a second, er,.... life as it were.

Later on I noticed this: "I'm a huge cycling fan and my family is from Flanders."

My wife and I love a certain dog breed (and donate to the rescue league): the Bouvier des Flandres. We have had two thus far........ very cool canines.

When I first got on the Internet back in the early 90s through being a student at the University of Alaska, we were required to have a screen name other than our real name. I was a massive Robert Heinlein fan, and in his book "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" one of the main characters is a self aware computer who was so massive that it ran the lunar colonies setup all over the moon. Lights, power, air, transport, communication for 3 million inhabitants. The Lunar Authority had not learned the value of decentralization. Anyway, the computer was a model "Holmes IV, and when the computer became aware of itself he named himself after Sherlock Holmes smarter brother, Mycroft, who was a calculator and mathematician for the Admiralty. (Although he usually went by "Mike.") Next to impossible to get it as a username these days, without a modifier like "Mycroftxxx" (which was the computer's phone number in the book).

What a kind, gentle looking dog. He must have been a great friend.

We have two mini schnauzers, but many of our friends have labs and we love them.

I once killed a man for snoring too loud. And I also really like eggplant pizza. Wait? What's the question?

Oooops! I got my dogs mixed up there, Ozzy was 15 (still good age), our previous dog, Treacle, was 17 which was an excellent age for a Border Collie/German Shepherd cross.

Ozzy was a Lurcher and you're spot on with the Whippet/Greyhound cross and yes, he was very, very fast until he lost the outside toe on his front right which affected cornering a little.

I'm a Madison, WI boy. The Yahara River starts a bit North of the city and flows through a chain of 4 lakes. It used to be a joke with some buddies of mine that we had the Yahara Delta Blues. Seemed a fitting user name for a guitar forum.
