Well, that day came and the big blob was set out to thaw.
That process was taking too long, so it was put in the oven to speed things up, got forgotten, and yes, the coleslaw was burned.
Burning the coleslaw takes talent!

Years ago I knew a 55 year old guy who couldn't cook. He decided to made Kraft Macaroni and Cheese when his wife was out. He didn't know how long to cook the pasta. It was complete mush.
