As I have a build with John myself ongoing I contacted him via e-mail two times during November and December but never heard back. I know John is busy but just to make sure my e-mails did not land in the spam folder, is there any other way to contact him (I am not on facebook)?

I’ve been enjoying a new Doerr Trinity 00 in Lutz/maple for the last month (my first maple guitar) and I am over the moon on the tone it has. Bright trebles, tight bass, excellent balance and sustain, and just the right amount of overtones. Based on the previously mentioned opportunity I had of playing one of John’s guitars at Swannanoa, I know for certain this guitar is going to be incredible. Congrats again.

Call him. His phone number is on his website. He doesn't seem to look at email all that often.

In my experience call or text is best way to contact John.

What a gorgeous instrument! I love maple and I love a good burst. That neck turned out magnificently.

One question I'm curious about is your 7-year duration on the build list. Was that because you deferred on your own? That's admirable patience! ;-)

That was 100% my own fault. A bunch of detours and distractions, frankly! Glad to be back on track!

We're still on track for January delivery, it seems. Experiencing some family health challenges with the new year that necessitates a pandemic road trip back to Colorado this week. Here's one I recorded on the OM last night in light of it all.

Wow, very lovely!

Sorry to hear about the family health challenges. Hopefully, everyone is back to full health soon. Best wishes!

That second photo is stratospherically spectacular, showing the contrast between the gorgeous map!e and the dark neck / binding!

I commend you for your playing first and foremost. Next, though, is the brilliant spec’ing of this guitar. It’s traditional, it’s modern, and it’s a tasteful blend of the two. It’s killer!! I can’t wait to hear this in your hands. I have an OM from John I wouldn’t trade for the world, so I’m imagining the sounds here

I feel compelled to apologize to you guys - for as much of a guitar enthusiast I am, I'm a complete idiot with regards to providing color commentary on the build process. (iim7V7IM7 and Juston, I bow at your feet!).

We're looking at first half of Feb delivery now due to the PLEK scheduling and whatnot. What should I record on it?! Something Celtic? Something Jazzy? Blues? Bluegrassy? Beatles-y?!
