re caught the photography bug
Those pics are incredible.
I recently purchased a new lens 14mm f/2.4 recommended for dark sky photography. I did some serious studying and looked for a dark sky US location. I picked S central Oregon. Shooting location within 10 minutes of a hotel. I reserved a room, rented a car timed the trip to coincide with the new moon first week in August. All that planning and driving nearly 500 miles the photography part of the trip was ruined by smoke in the sky from the forest fires in the area. I went day hiking instead in what is called "Oregon Outback"
