Hey Rick, another nice piece, very well played! It has that signature Gefell M300 sound, am I right? I'd like to hear the final version when you are finished, thanks! Are you using the Great River pre?

Yes to both the M300s and the Great River. Also the guitar, Blanchard Bristlecone (and usually for me not so new Elixir Nanowebs) has its own characteristic sound. Things sound somewhat different with the Collings C10. I really moved the mikes to an unusual position (I will do more exploring on the final recording) to be able to the little strum accents without overloading things and yet still have some immediacy (presence) to the sound. The only thing I added to the raw recording was a touch of reverb.

Rick,
I just check out your website again, did you make changes or did I just bookmark the music page? The main page looks good. Also, I was wondering, if I tabbed out my "Sunrise" tune - maybe I can get it to about 95% accurate, would you try playing and recording it? I'm wondering how it would sound being played by a pro.

I made some changes to the website. I can't make any promises about "Sunrise" especially if I have a hard time making out your tab. Best if you tab it into
PowerTab http://www.power-tab.net/downloads.php
or
TablEdit http://www.tabledit.com/
so the timing info is there and all is legible. I much prefer PowerTab (so if you are using Windows, and it is free).
