Question Need Help On A Couple Things

I am pretty sure I will be getting a Taylor T5. It is the most awesome guitar that I have ever seen.

I would like to know a couple of things.

1.
What would be a good acoustic amp (small, just for home use) to get.

2.
How do you think it would sound (acousticly) plugged directly in to my Presonus Firebox for recording.

Any input would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Bob, how have you been? I have a Fender Acoustasonic 30 which seems fine for what I do at home. It has 1/4 input on the left and xlr input on the right.

Thanks TBman.

I just checked it out on line, and it looks good. Plus I can use a mic for vocals as well.

I also have a Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speaker system (200W RMS) hooked up to my Presonus Firebox. I plugged my daughter's electric into it as a test last night, and vibrated the whole house with it. I am assuming that the T5 could be used the same way. It can be used with electric amps, acoustic amps, or anything.

Have you checked out taylors web site, and watched the T5 stuff?

I have never seen a guitar like that before in my life. But then again, I don't know all that much about guitars...

No, I haven't but I will check it out on their site. I've seen the T5 at the GC, but I didn't try it out.

I wonder how it would sound to plug into the amp and then record using a mic into the computer link. I'm going to try it tonight, now that I broke down and bought another mic cable - my Ibanez has xlr output as well as the 1/4. The xlr output sounds much better than the 1/4 out.
