Default Somogyi Scale lengths

Really interesting. With all the details Tom mentioned about the guitar I wonder with how the bridge is placed, is the bracing adjusted differently? Knowing the low E (or D) would be placed much further south in the lower bout vs the higher register.

You're welcome!

Yes, I'm pretty certain Tom adjusted (amongst other things) the bracing pattern, as there were several factors at play, including slightly higher string tension (and I think a slightly thicker than usual top), the angle of the bridge due to the fan fret arrangement, and the positioning of the bridge (which is more akin to a 12 fretter - which Tom does make quite a few of - due to the long scale length).

What magic he wove exactly, I don't know. But IMHO, whatever he did worked brilliantly, hence me coming back for more with the plans for the fan fretted, and long-ish scale model M (OM size).
