2003 Martin D-28CWB Clarence White Adirondack/Brazilian #148 of 150
For sale is a rare 2003 Martin D28CWB Brazilian, with the original case, case candy and warranty papers.
This is an exceptionally great sounding guitar with a monstrous low end, bell-like trebles, and overall power in spades. It has a beautiful, uniformly tight-grained Adirondack red spruce top, and quartersawn straight-grained Brazilian rosewood back and sides with beautiful coloration and streaking. This is not a museum piece - this guitar has been played and loved throughout the years and has the tone to back it up. There are various small dings throughout, but nothing egregious and no cracks or structural issues. The guitar does have some fret wear which should be addressed, so a fret dressing has been considered within my asking price. This guitar is #148 of a limited run of 150 instruments. These don't come up often, and Carter's just listed one in similar shape for $12,500. I'm asking $8,750 net to me, with the buyer responsible for any shipping and/or transaction fees.
