I agree with Wade and Duff,
If you really loved the one you played that is the one to buy. Just as I didn't marry a woman who I felt was "as good as any other" I wouldn't buy a guitar that was "run of the mill" (unless I was buying it to resell - even then I wouldn't want a dud) If you didn't feel the one you played was exceptional, don't buy it either - wait for one you feel is. That is the one you will keep. |

My experiences with Martin(s) since my first new purchase in 1972 (D-35S) have always been that they sound wonderful including those I've played out of curiosity at the local GC. This allowed me purchase with confidence my HD-35 sight-unseen from Musician's Friend in 2014. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
