Default NGD: 2005 Gibson AJ Adirondack/Rosewood with COA - ARRIVES SAFELY!!

I just pulled the trigger on this 2005 Gibson AJ signed/worked on by Ren Ferguson.

I Sent an offer about an hour ago and it was accepted a few minutes ago. This is a 2005 with Adi top that had the braces carved by Ren. It also comes with a COA. Since this will be my 2nd AJ, I figured I might as well get something on the 'fancier' side since my baby is a 2002 standard.

I have 7 days to test it out since the seller has a return policy. Makes it easier to buy something online. Hope it has stellar tone! This will be my first Adi top AJ. I'm pretty excited and I wasn't expecting him to accept my first offer. I'm still in shock.

if it sounds as good as my 2002 standard AJ, I'll be ecstatic. That one sounds so good, I'm not expecting this one to surpass it. So excited to play it. I think it will be here by Wednesday.

I'm thinking that one should be a lifetime instrument. I was watching that one as well and cant wait to hear what your thoughts are on how it sounds. Love those Gibson's. Congratulations on your purchase !

I'm also excited to hear how it sounds! I've been watching about 15 AJs the last few weeks and had pretty much made up my mind that I was going to get a standard model from the 'Ren' era. But after a few back and forth messages with the seller I figured I'd send an offer I was comfortable with just to see. I wasn't really expecting an accepted offer so I'm still in shock a little bit. Knowing that I'll have my new AJ THIS WEEK! I'll try to post some sound clips once it arrives.

Any reason you didn't make an offer?

I hope you like it when it arrives! Congratulations.

I am assuming that "COA" means "Certificate of Authenticity," is that correct?

I do to but unfortunately they were built in the 1930s. Amazing sounding guitars if you ever get your hands on one. Unfortunately they carry an equally amazing price tag.

Congrats!

As Ren designed the bracing that Bozeman uses this one should be at the head of the class.

Nice; you bought a stellar guitar. The AJ is the only Gibson acoustic worth buying, in my opinion.
