With the re-creation of the pre-war Herringbone Dreadnought, Martin has ensured that every detail of this HD-28VS has remained faithful to the original. Catering to the old school Martin vibe, the neck of HD-28VS meets the body at the 12th fret, and features a slotted headstock with an East Indian rosewood headplate, a small old style Martin logo, and set of vintage-style Waverly tuners with butterbean knobs. Standard "X" scalloped bracing is combined with a slightly larger dreadnought body crafted from East Indian rosewood and solid Sitka spruce to deliver that classic Martin tone. For traditional visual appeal, the top boasts a Style 28 rosette, a bold Herringbone top inlay, a beveled and polished tortoise pickguard, and a polished gloss finish with aging toner while an HD Zig-Zag purfling and grained ivoroid binding grace the back of the HD-28VS. The neck is carved from select hardwood into a modified V profile to offer exceptional playability and fretting hand comfort. The solid black ebony fingerboard is topped with a bone nut and adorned with classic Diamond Squares long pattern inlays. The nut is matched by a 16" radius drop-in long bone saddle that's housed within an ebony vintage belly bridge. The Martin HD-28VS Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar comes with a Martin hardshell case.

Includes a L.R. Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic pickup.
