We have something in common. I worked in the pharma industry for over 40 years in Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality Assurance. Now semi-retired working as a Quality consultant.

Not that everyone would admit it, but many musicians here might've operated freelance pharmaceutical distributorships "back in the band days."

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down, “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. —John Lennon |

Well I used to say that I spent much time in the 1970’s in the field doing post doctoral research into marijuana cultivation which involved lengthy travel field trips to Afghanistan and Morocco 😂😂😂

Pretty low standards in the North. I remember when they use to run Bachelorette tours of Alaska with the tagline: "The odds are good but the goods are odd."

Attorney, since going to Law School in my 40s. Spent most of my 20s as a Sun Bronzed Snow God in Lake Tahoe, New Zealand, France, Australia, Switzerland, Kashmir. Fed my adrenaline habit working as a bartender, ski instructor, ski shop employee, working summer construction, fire lookout.
Much of my 30s driving a cab in Anchorage, after the '85 economic crash there, but it put me through two Undergraduate degrees (and 4 multi-month trips to SE Asia). Computer and systems technician for the biggest bank in Alaska, taking care of the statewide ATM network. Put out of work by technological development (debit cards). Tried to get into the nascent Internet Banking division, but I didn't have the sheepskin even though I knew more than the people who they were hiring. At which point I decided, "Hey, Law School. Why not?" |

Musician for the last 20 years. Before that, twenty years of a variety of full and part time jobs, mostly in building maintenance and labour relations, but gigged on the side.
