Default Anyone tried tascam tm78 mic?

They are pretty cheap and have decent reviews. I'm thinking about getting one if case I want to record something with my acoustics. I already have a relatively decent interface and everything I need for recording electrics, so I'd just need a mic. Alternative is to make my own using a capsule, but for this money I don't think it's worth making...

Typical back electret capsule in a housing designed to look like a higher-dollar large diaphragm condenser. This design is occasionally seen in other bargain mics, just be aware of what you're purchasing.

Since you're really purchasing a small diaphragm back electret condenser capsule with this mic you can compare it to the many pac rim SDCs for pricing. My guess would be many reviews are based on what people are reading into the specifications and not actual performance. The stated frequency response of 20 hz to 20khz. should also be a tip-off.
