I was in control for a wee bit of the 9 hours (over two nights) exposure and a wee bit of the who-knows-how-many hours of post-production processing. So no, I do not consider it "my" pic. In fact it was his making of the image that pushed me to drop trying to do imaging. I am no where near as good, or patient. I have other obsessions to take care of. Like deep visual observing. There is something about patiently looking and looking to get a faint glimpse of an object on the cusp of eyeball observation. I like the concept of actual photons hitting my eye, my optic nerve directly. That I am one of maybe 20 (100?, certainly not very many) who have ever made a visual observation of an object. The planetary nebula Pease 1 in M15; the globular clusters in M31.
But also because I am not very good at imaging.
