Looks like some great materials to start out with!

That Mun Ebony fretboard and bridge will be super cool!

Bill that's going to be handsome! What is the width of the abalone in your rosette?

Steve

Hello Steve, the abalone is 3/8" wide with 1/16" wide koa border.

Great pictures here, Bill!
Your craftsmanship and attention to detail are obvious.
This OM will be strikingly unique.
Keep the pictures coming - fascinating stuff!

I really like this look! Somehow not using purfling to border the abalone or the koa strips gives it a more painterly look - or maybe it's just unusual abalone, I don't know, but it's very sweet - seductively beautiful.

Thanks SJ, this has always been a part of my look, somewhat minimalist (unless a customer requests otherwise), wood on wood, with very little in the way of purfling lines.

Default Kraus OM bc/g

Coming together nicely, Bill.
The koa bindings make a nice subtle transition.
Stay safe - stay well,
Bob
