There’s more musicians working in software than I expected.
Love the journey. Love the wisdom.

I worked in construction pouring concrete curbs, belgium block curb, sidewalks and slabs for about 20 years for my father's business and while doing that I got my degree in accounting with a concentration of computer science at night. I moved on from the construction business and have worked for the same accounting firm for over 31 years. I'll still at the firm, but in a part time capacity.

I remember back in my days of construction work having to trim/sand down the callouses on my left hand so it had more flexibility for playing guitar.

I share a very similar story. I went back to college at 31(only have an associates degree) and now make 5 times what I did working at a greeting card factory. No musical history for me; picked up Clawhammer Banjo last summer and now am exploring accoustic guitar; sure is nice to finally be able to afford a hobby.

Been to Wyoming a number of times, beautiful place, breath taking at times. Two of my visits were during the winter….OMG, WTH, I’m going to die!… and I grew up in Minnesota!

In retrospect, that’s something I’d love to have done. Sadly, the early childhood desire to be an astronaut never turned to earthbound flight - so IT was it.

Hi Glenn,

Yes, it is. First fly-by-wire airliner. Very fun!

I bet a lot of kids growing up in the '50s and '60s wanted to be astronauts. I always thought space flight would be exciting.
