Default Rainsong co-om1100nst vs APSE

Hello fellow CFers,

I want to know if anyone can comment on the differences between the co-om1100nst and APSE (besides the barn door). These look to be pretty similar to me but hoping this knowledgeable audience can chime in.

Having owned both, I'd suggest that the electronics would be the primary difference...

The APSE will have the Anthem, the CO will have either a Fishman Prefix (if older) or a lesser Baggs pickup if newer. Cosmetic appointments will be different and the APSE will have chrome Gotoh 510s with a slight different look than the stock Gotohs on the CO. Otherwise acoustically the guitars will sound identical as the construction in both materials and dimensions are identical.

Actually the "1100" denoted by the OP specifies that it doesn't come with factory electronics...

Good catch! I stand corrected.

RP is right, I was referring to the non electric version of the co-om. Sounds like either could work but given my preference for pure acoustic a co-om1100nst would likely be the best fit.

The APSE model uses a lighter satin finish as specified by its namesake. I owned the CO-WS1005NST prior to replacing it with the APSE and I do believe the APSE is a bit more pronounced on the trebles and perhaps a bit more balanced overall. It’s designed specifically for the solo fingerstyle player.
