Default Rainsong aftermarket Truss Rod install?

I have a 2001, Rainsong 1100 series dreadnaught that was manufactured without a truss rod. A gift from my lovely wife for quitting smoking. After 20 yrs as the original owner, I can attest that the neck is 100% straight and the action impeccable. And sounds great. Used only light gauge strings ever. But who knows what is to come? Anyone own one of these where the factory has installed a truss rod retroactively? Or installed by an independent luthier? Anyone have a non-truss rod Rainsong that developed neck or action issues? ( I will give Rainsong a call and post their answer).
Thanks!

I'll bet that the reply from Rainsong will be something like "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

My experience when going to medium-guage strings on one of the RainSong DR1000 N1 dreadnoughts that I've had is that the neck-relief and action only changed by a couple of thousandths of an inch. YMMV.

If it hasn't moved in 20 years, I don't think you have much to worry about!

More than 57,000 Martins were built without any neck reinforcement. If excessive relief develops, it's almost always corrected by compression fretting.

What is compression fretting? Push harder?

Googled What is compression fretting and found this.....interesting indeed

'Compression' fretting is the careful selection of fret 'tang' size in order to 'wedge' fret slots open wider, thereby (hopefully) correcting a bowed neck. ... Installing a fret with a larger tang can have a 'wedging' effect and back bow the fingerboard

Fascinating, orthopedic surgeons straighten bones that way.
