Question on Blackbird Rider nylon fretboard
I've been looking for a Blackbird rider nylon, so far only one has come up for sale and seemed a little bit of an oddity. But there is one spec that concerns me: Blackbird lists the nut width at 2", but also lists the fretboard as having a 16" radius. Usually a nylon classical will have a flat fretboard.
So folks you have owned one, was the fretboard radiused? Did it depend on what you ordered? Are the specs in error? |

I haven't owned one (unfortunately) but those specs are correct:
https://www.blackbirdguitar.com/page...cy-instruments I do own an Emerald X7 Nylon with a 16" radius. A radiused fret board works fine, but it also depends on the way you play. Do you play with your hand position in the traditional classical guitar way?

Yeah I saw those specs on the Blackbird site. However they did seem to do some level of customization to order, the recent one on Reverb for example had a pin bridge, not tied.
I play traditional classical position, seems necessary for many traditional classical pieces. |
