Default Halfway...

It's been 45 days since I placed my order. That means, assuming a three month delivery schedule, I'm almost halfway there

I'm halfway too! Through the first week... of a 16 week wait... DOH!

But I'm not counting. I'm not even thinking about it. Nope. Not me. (Don't tell EvanB about this post...)

These "anticipation" threads will do that, I hear.

Isn't "16 weeks" a bit less than 4 months?

I placed my order 4 months ago, and I hope I'm halfway.

Methos;

Hey, I'm in the next room, and I hear you. The first week is the easiest--they get progressively harder.

And for all you other waiters, the second half of the wait is so painful you will probably be in therapy before it's over.

But keep up your optimism--it provides a great deal of humor.

Hey Jim - that's a great EvanB impression you did there...

Or.

Hey Evan - what are you doing logging into Captain Jim's AGF account...?

Lol - Okay, I just counted it out on the big work calendar. So it's 18 weeks. Not including delays and getting lost in the mail/held up at customs...

But I'm NOT counting. Nope. Not me. Not even thinking about it no matter how much you all try to torment me.

I'm generally not a vindictive kind of guy but I'm seriously considering withholding NDG photos one day for ever tormenting post you make!!

Just trying for accuracy in reporting, Scott. Two things that are the take-away from your post:

1. Work calendar? Shouldn't you be consulting a GIG calendar?

2. Withholding NGD photos? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Ahem; sorry, I don't know what came over me. Seems we are all like first graders on "Show & Tell Day" at school: you want to show, we want to see and hear all about it. Symbiosis.

I am not tormenting you. I feel your pain; at my age, it is all about the immediate gratification. Who am I kidding - it is always about the immediate gratification. I truly hope the wait goes easy for you - just didn't want 16 weeks to roll around and have you all twisted with anticipation, just to find out there is another couple weeks to endure.

Unlike Evan, I was not laughing at you. Well, OK, maybe just a bit at that whole "withholding" comment. But, come on, that was pretty funny on your part.

In the end, you know it will be worth it. Plus, you have that absolutely gorgeous X20 to ease you through the wait.

Cue the music: "An-tis-a-pay-shun..."

I am tormenting you--been there, done that. And so, suffer; misery loves company. I am beyond misery, into the Zen zone. You say you won't count, but unfortunately you know how to count, all too well. And all those postal tracks, they'll drive you crazy--but you'll look. But stick with Jim and Kramster, they'll help you through. Don't look at the posts by other waiters, they'll just drag you down. Booze might help.

Hey, Kramster - apparently your Uncle thinks you and I have gone into the food service industry (waiters). Or, rather, he thinks neither you nor I are waiting for anything.

You are a pool guy, I remain gainfully unemployed, but continue in my role of trophy husband. That said, I think we can work together in our spare time to start a support group for all the waiters... and not to be gender-centric, waitresses. Depending on the wait time involved, and in keeping with the topic of this thread, it could be a... (wait for it)... halfway house.

Hey, that's my time. Be sure to tip your waiters. Good night!

I feel your pain as I am as well almost halfway. But my halfway started last thursday and should be crossing the Atlantic now. It's really a long short story or a short long story, I'm not sure which.

Some prefer "Servers" and others use "waiters " to wear whilst fly fishing..but if tipped will fill up.,
Who knows...I may even be waiting as well...and maybe not just for one.

A waiter team might be helpful if thats what we pretending to do...oops I what we are really doing...or something like that.

Also ...wrong time of year to be a pool boy...darn monsoons and 114 degrees at peak...sigh..wears on a boy
