Brick, if you get the chance also try a CA Cargo. 22.75" scale, 1.75" neck, and a far bigger sound than that small body would suggest. My wife loves hers, and has not touched the GS Mini since getting it.

A wrap-up to this thread: we made it home late last night. The Taylor 522 got to meet the rest of "the pack" this morning. Something I've been looking forward to - playing A/B/C with the 522/the Shorty/and the 814ce.

Each of these guitars is a gem; each has a unique sound and feel. After spending all summer with the Shorty and the 522, the 814 feels and sounds HUGE... I could feel the rumble in my belly.

We spent most of the day moving back in; I am having a very good evening with the guitars.
