Default Custom truss rod cover

Hi guys.
I'm having some set up done on a Taylor 314CE-N and I'm considering adding a custom truss rod cover while everything is undone.

Where is the best place to look?
I'd like something to match the Sitka top I think

Here's a pic of the current so you'll know what I need

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

They probably don't have Sitka but you can check out the Petros website, as they do sell truss rod covers in different styles and woods.

So id also like to get wooden tuner buttons, but the Taylor site only says "nylon nickel with pearloid" buttons....
Any ideas?

I did

They didn't have any of the straight covers like the shape is on the Taylor. They only had the ones with a flair at the bottom, and I'm not sure it would fit right.. I'm afraid it would push over into the slot

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Why not make your own? It's the easiest part on a guitar to make, you already have the template, you will get exactly what you want. Cheap coping saw and some fine sanding, smal bit in a hand drill. You will practically be a luthier when done.

Talk to Bill Nichols - he recently made one for me and I worked with him on the unique size of this one (thinner than others).

You can also check with folks who make/supply mandolin and banjo parts. Custom truss rod covers are pretty common with those instruments.
