Beautiful guitar! I always update my Yamahas with Tusq saddle, nut, and ebony bridge pins.

Very nice. I love my LS16, the little brother to your guitar. Give the D'Addario NB lights a try sometime. Mine loves them and also likes the Retros

That’s a great idea. Do you mind me asking where you normally get your replacement nuts, saddles and pins from? It sounds like your an old hand at this.

I’ve got a pack of retros waiting. I’ll put the D’Addarios on the roster for a trial run. I had it restrung with Elixirs when I bought it which really improved the sound (they had some sort of string Yamaha long life string on it when I first played it(?). Not great I must say...

I got my last nut and saddle on Amazon. The nut you need should be p/n PQ-6133-00 the saddle should be PQ-9280-CO or PQ-9276-C0

For pins, I use Martin Ebony pins with the pearl/abalone dot.

They (all these items) require some sanding/filing for a proper fit.
