The Hawaiian Islands are a work of Art so this guitar will fit right in.

Also, I keep reading the title as webony. And then I start singing a song in my head called, Webony and Wivory.

I hope you’ll get a chance to use the Malachite soon John as it’s a fantastic medium. I’m actually working on an inlay this week using Malachite and it pairs really well with lots of different woods.

I hope so too Tim. I really like the color and the variegation. I’m making a 00 spec guitar out of B/W ebony and may use it there.

the sides are together, blocks in. I've been laminating lining out of cedar of various kinds to give a more interesting look to the internals. This shot shows the shaping of the arm bevel support.

I agree...I love the contrast between black and white....jeff
I was a custom knife maker for many years. (retired now) made a number of knives with highly figured Black and white ebony
Finished it becomes the most elegant black and golds. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful color combinations of mother nature ever. If you want whites with blacks, spalted Hackberry. Beauty wise, also a favorite of mine.

Smile Mighty fine interior!!!

Man, that is looking SWEET!!!

Glad you are able to post today and not dealing with flooding, hopefully!

I like the look of the solid linings. And the signature on the tailblock is a classy touch, too.

Fwiw I like the gold and black after the webony is finished a LOT

Carry on Sensi

Paul

Thank you kindly Paul.
Just this morning are we getting hurricane symptoms. It's raining steady but not too hard yet. we are predicted to get twice as much rain today as you guys have had all year. I do feel the injustice in that.
Power might be out later if the wind picks up and the trees start falling.
