This top has a couple of claw marks. Very light. The bear must have decided to move on to the trees featured above?

The best one that ever graced my closet, I let go. I miss it sometimes

But I have another that has my heart.....

This is closer to beargash, pretty stunning! You could fall into this top...

I emailed Larrivee in the wee hours -- before 7 am I had a reply, thanking me for my pic's, and with information on my used guitar purchase. (When Larrivee started milling their own trees, they lucked into some very dramatic bear claw. Jean made this available as a 'no cost' "Custom" option on the OM-03 for a brief period.)

Not what I think of when I think of typical bear claw, but considered to be hazelficte/bear claw none the less. Came with missed match pins, but "bluzee", on eBay, hooked me up with some pimp-worthy Larrivee-fit mastodon replacements.

It's my main squeeze. Thanks Jean.

Meet Scarface. This 25 year old Seagull Spruce Deluxe is lighting in a bottle. I'd sell my Martin HD-28V before I'd ever get rid of Scarface.

Default Bearclaw - Let's See 'Em

Bearclaw is my favorite top wood by far. For some reason, I’ve only got one guitar with it.
