Just discovered this thread - where have I been?! Some fantastic photos here! I'll share a few.

First off, this was pure serendipity. Stuck my iPhone on the ground in front of this guy, and couldn't believe that the backround worked out so well:

They're all amazing shots but this one is just outstanding. National Geographic should be calling you. What exactly is it?
